EXCERPT FROM THE ROSE REPORT
Here are some chosen topics from the actual What Flower Are You? Red Rose Report. There are 27 topics in all. By looking at these, you can get an idea of what you can expect from the rest of the report. That way, you know what you're buying ahead of time.
HOW YOU LEARN
How do you learn? Well, the flower you have chosen should tell you a great deal about how your mind functions! To say the least, you are considered a mental giant. You think a lot and perhaps too much. Your mind is sharp and curious, and you are quick to make up your mind about something. Insomnia can dog your heels because you are the one that gets the "gerbil running on the wheel" at night, and you cannot shut off your thoughts. They just keep rolling along even though you would like some sleep, instead! You do very well in academic surroundings. And you are good at memorization. Able to learn in classroom situations, you are a "book learner" type. Verbal by nature, you can communicate well in speaking as well as writing. Your world consists of using logic and rationalization; you are a prove-it-to-me kind of person.
HOW YOU MOVE THROUGH LIFE
How we move through life depends upon the flower you have chosen. It says much about how we strive to get to our destination. Each plant has particular abilities that help us to reach out goals and you will find this out when you read about them below. This section is divided into three parts. The first part focuses upon your abilities. Part two looks at your spinal column health and motivation through Life and how it expresses itself through you. Part three delves into the resourcefulness that each of has within us, and how to tap into it and become a balanced person. This is another layer to the complexity of how you move through life. The shape of the plant you have chosen suggests how we engage in life to move through it. This part will also tell us about your back and legs from a physical standpoint, and what to look out for in the way of health problems with this area of your body.
PART 1
You are someone who can weather many "storms" in life. Unfortunately, because there is no bend or flexibility in you, when you are hit with an overwhelming event, you may "break" and shatter completely. The old adage of being an Oak tree applies here. You are able to tough it out for a long, long time. And you can stand very high, intense stress (both healthy and unhealthy) for a long time, too. You seem impervious to the wounding slings and arrows that get shot at all of us, and that fell lesser people. To many, you are an amazing person-a bulwark who is always there, to cling to, in the chaos of Life.
You have incredible strength and endurance. Like an old war horse who has faced many battles and campaigns, you know how to pace yourself to win the war, not just a battle. Like the proverbial "tank," you endure. You have a "backbone of steel." Everyone looks to you when things get out of control. You stand like the magnificent Oak in the midst of the hurricane of Life, untouched and deeply rooted so that the hardships of life nick you, but not mortally wound you. When you do break, you find yourself in a well of confusion, disorientation and loss that is so deep and wide that you may not know how to put yourself back together again, or where to start the healing process. Eventually you cobble yourself back together, but then you have that wound in your body and mind that is never far away from your injured thoughts. Unfortunately, you never forget this experience and usually do not release the negative energy from it either. This can work against you in the long term.
If you suffer a major catastrophe at a young age, you carry these scars into your adult life and never fully recover from it without outside help. Your memory is long about this event. In defense, you will build "armor" and "walls" around this experience to make sure that no one or nothing can reach inside you again to disassemble you from yourself again.
GOING AFTER YOUR DREAMS
The plant you have chosen symbolically reflects on how we reach out to pull ourselves up, or go after what we want (the brass ring of Life, our dreams, our goal or vision of what we want now and in the future), or to push a person or thing away from us. You reach out for many things at the same time, you may or may not be able to handle all of them. Some projects will fall through the slats because you cannot juggle all these balls in the air at once. Reaching out for Life with gusto, you are unafraid to take risks to go after your dreams. You are a multi-tasker and get bored doing something over and over again.

Who are you? What are the possibilities within you? Every human being is a mix of healthy and unhealthy actions/reactions and learned traits. In this section, we look at your growing-up years and how your parents may have influenced you one way or another.
This section has two parts it: the healthy possibilities and your weaknesses. Remember: we're a little of both! Or we're on our way from being unhealthy and aiming ourselves into a healthy state to be all that we can be. You will find a little of yourself in both sections, I'm sure! We are neither all good, nor all bad. Please read this section and you may see yourself as a child, but now, as an adult, see the changes you've made (for the better) since then.
14. YOUR FAMILY HISTORY
Nearly all plants in the world live in soil. The exception to this statement are aerial root plants, such as orchids. Without soil, a plant cannot exist. It holds the moisture and gives the plant nutrients. Different plants need a particular soil in order to thrive. While it is true that almost any plant will grow in almost any type of soil, the key here is to find which soil completes the plant the best. The soil type is chosen for that specific plant as a result. Some plants can live in a wide range of soil variations, while others can only survive in one type. Soil symbolizes our family beginnings. It is the first eighteen years of our lives and how we were shaped, molded and guided. In the very best of circumstances, you, the plant/person, had the "right" soil or family in order to thrive, grow strong and gain confidence. In the worst of circumstances you were a person/plant who had very poor soil to begin with and consequently have suffered because of it. Whether we come from a broken family, a dysfunctional one, a happy one or one somewhere in between, we get conditioned to certain ways of acting and reacting. We all need to look at this and if it is unhealthy in some form, make the changes that will help us live more fully and positively. The plant you have chosen resides best in a particular type of soil.
15. ARE YOU A TYPE A? TYPE B? TYPE C?
How does your engine run? How do you best accomplish tasks? Does stress pump you up or tire you out? Based upon the plant you have chosen, you will know how to best utilize your daily energies.
16. WHAT MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE?
Every plant, just like every human being, has a perfect temperature high and low that they do best within. For example, some people love it hot, and hate the cold. Or, others must have cool weather and wilt in the hot temperatures. Plants are no different. You could not put a desert cactus in a humid jungle; it would rot. Conversely, a temperate orchid who needs between 55 and 85° F to survive would die in a dry desert. Heat and cold affect all of us; sometimes it's point blank, but most of the time, we do not realize that temperature DOES affect us. And some very sensitive people are very aware of the degrees climbing or diving. It can affect our mood, our mental faculties (remember how hot summer dulls your intellect?), and our physical body. I've chosen three ranges of temperature-low, medium, and hot. Again, keep in mind that this is the "perfect" temperature for you, where you feel your best and do your best. That does not mean you cannot handle higher or lower temperature variances; you can. This merely indicates the best range, where you operate at optimum on all levels.
17. THE LIGHT IN YOUR LIFE
You have chosen a plant that speaks to your growth patterns. How DO you react to light? Some people simply cease to exist if they are not in the spotlight of other's attention. And there are others, that will wilt and die if too much attention comes their way. For them, being alone or with just a few people, is a must for survival as well as personal growth. Other people prefer a little of both. Some of us absolutely love the limelight and flourish beneath it, as if it were food that feeds us. Others, shun it for a variety of reasons. And some like a little of both. Let's find out where you fit in this picture!
18. YOUR TIME TO SHINE
A flower blooms when the plant is at the apex of its maturity, growth, vitality, and vigor. Likewise, as human beings, we all have a "favorite season." Interestingly enough, I have observed two things in regards to this: first, that some people feel their best during their favorite season, but some feel their worst. I do not know why this polarity exists, but it does. So, look to your favorite time of the year: spring, summer, winter, or fall. When do you feel at your best? Your worst? Is there a season of the year when you seem to get more health symptoms than at any other time? We are all connected with a season when we feel like "blooming," just like a flower. And we should take advantage of this wondrous time of year which gives us extra energy, hopefulness, creativity, and vitality.
19. UTILIZING YOUR EMOTIONS
Every plant needs water and so do you. How much you need depends upon where the plant you chose likes to live. It could be desert, tropical, subtropical, mountainous, or plains. Each plant has a method of getting water. Some live in a climate where it rains often. Others, such as cactus and succulents, have learned to store the extra water within themselves because rain may not come for months at a time. Translating this to human terms means how much water does a person drink-or not? Water also symbolizes our emotions. Further, some people, especially women, have a tendency to "hold" water, due to their highly developed hormonal system. They are holding their emotions within them. Some people are "thirstless." They rarely show their feelings. That means that they rarely drink enough water. The need to drink just does not trigger in them that strongly. Other people drink a normal amount of water-their water thirst trigger is far more sensitive. If a person drinks a lot of water, continually, this can be a sign of a health problem, usually diabetes, and seeing the doctor can confirm this or not.
20. WHAT YOUR PARENTS WERE LIKE
You have chosen a flower that focuses on whether you had parental support or not. This part of your report is about the symbolic PROTECTION you received from our family-or not. You can look at your own family experience and I would ask you: How much support did you get as a child growing up? Did your parents support you being an individual? Support you to follow your own calling? Your own hobby or creativity? Or, did they suppress you? Not allow you to be an individual, but more a robot, as we find in dysfunctional family situations?
